mySeneca Blackboard is Seneca College’s all-in-one portal, bringing together all of the information and resources in one place for easy access. You can use this portal to access course materials, interact with teachers/fellow students, and perform efficient searches.

mySeneca portal can be customized so that students can easily find the information they need. This space is accessible to students both remotely and on-site. When the teacher releases the courses, they will all be available on the first day of class.

How to Log Into mySeneca Blackboard

To access mySeneca Blackboard, follow the steps outlined below:

  • Visit https://my.senecacollege.ca/ for more information.
  • You will be presented with two options: Employee mySeneca and Student mySeneca
  • Select Student mySeneca.
  • Click the Login button in the upper right corner of the screen.
  • Enter your Seneca email address, password, and captcha code as shown.
  • To log into your account, click the Sign In button.

You can now view college news, access your assignments, courses, and course materials, and much more on mySeneca Blackboard.

How to Set Up mySeneca Blackboard Account

If you want to set up your mySeneca Blackboard account. follow the procedures below promptly.

  1. Go to the link in the Welcome email from mySeneca that says ‘Please set up your profile by following these steps.’
  2. Sign in with your Seneca email address and the temporary password you received in your Welcome email.

When you log into mySeneca using a temporary password, you will be prompted to change it. Check that the password meets the minimum requirements before proceeding.

  • Enter your temporary password in the Old Password field.
  • Enter and confirm your new password.
  • Select the Submit button.
  • Log in with your new password again.

You can now easily update your password reset methods by using your personal email address or phone number.

If you forget your password, you can reset it using either of the two methods.

How to reset your MySeneca Password

There are two ways to reset your mySeneca Password

If you have forgotten your mySeneca password and are unable to access your account, follow the steps below:

You can use Self Service Password Recovery, which you set up at the start, or you can use your personal email or SMS phone number as a recovery method.

OR

  • Go to https://myid.senecacollege.ca/ to access MyID.
  • Select the Reset Password option.
  • Enter your Seneca email address into the captcha field that appears.
  • To select a verification method, click Next. You will receive a verification code on your phone number if you choose to verify via SMS. If you want to verify by phone, you must press the #key when you receive it. In the case of a different email address, enter the verification code sent to the email address you provided.
  • Next should be clicked.
  • This will complete the verification process and prompt you to enter your new password and Confirm it.

The system will send you an email confirming the new password reset.

You can now change your password at any time by logging into https://my.senecacollege.ca/.

Make sure to create a strong password with at least 8 characters that include uppercase letters, lowercase letters, symbols, and numbers.

It is also strongly advised to change your password every 180 days.

Visit MyID Self-Service at https://myid.senecacollege.ca and log in with your student email to change or create your Seneca Blackboard password.
